Del Mar Pines School has about 156 students attending classes K–6th grade. The student per teacher ratio is about 22:1. Instruction for smaller groups of 6–8 students is offered in language arts and mathematics. The school follows standards-based curriculum that far exceeds California requirements.
There is an aftercare program from 3:15–5:30 p.m. Students are helped with homework, group or individual projects, can access computer labs and have many recreational activities. Students also have a choice of after school enrichment classes.
