According to the latest data from the National Association of Realtors (NAR), international buyers in the U.S. real estate market have decreased to the lowest level since tracking began in 2009. In 2023, the number of international buyers was at 84.6, but it dropped to 54.3 in 2024, accounting for only 1.3% of the Existing Home Sales (EHS). The top origins of foreign buyers in the U.S. real estate market are Canada, accounting for 13% of foreign buyers and $5.9 billion, followed by China at 11% and $7.5 billion, Mexico at 11% and $2.8 billion, India at 10% and $4.1 billion, and Colombia at 4% and $0.7 billion.
